“I worked in different industries and was really excited to help people build better solutions in a fast paced environment, In short, I love the managed chaos. I like helping people build new business, or work out the problems with issues they had. In my own experiences, and through talking to many others I realized that there was a shortage of companies in the logistics industry that provide customized service solutions, especially with the frozen and refrigerated business. So in 2001, I found a building that would support cold storage and Kyrie Global was born.
It was a miracle we had two customers very quickly, because less than a month later 9/11/2001 happened. Most all companies hesitated to take any kind of risk, especially with a new warehouse logistics company. In this business companies have to trust your company will handle their products as well or better than they will. In most cases, if we cant be better and more efficient than our customer, they don’t need us.
The hours were relentless, we worked very hard to build a good reputation in the industry with very little income. We poured back every cent we made back into the business. We bought the best warehouse management software available, as we knew tracking and eliminating shipping errors was critical. We upgraded and replaced the buildings refrigeration systems and added back up units to every room. With continual audits by our customers and the USDA, FDA, NCDOA etc. there is never a time to stop improving what we are doing.
Our customers grew and we needed to make deliveries to stay competitive, so in 2004 Cold World Storage was found to provide refrigerated transportation services to our customers. We had one truck and one driver.
So after 19 years, and 15 trucks later we are working to expand our warehouse into an additional building and continue to expand our service offerings. Our Mission has always been to provide an exceptional solution that meets our customers needs.“
